From the heart of Molise ...

The land of Colletorto, located in the Fortore river valley, has ancient origins and between the late Empire and Middle Ages was dotted with several Roman villas of various sizes linked to agricultural production. We can not talk about Colletorto without talking about Olive and Oil; almost all Colletortesi families have at least a small olives cultivated plot. In this corner of the region between the mountains of Daunia, the Frentani mountains and the Fortore river valley, olive growing dates probably back  to the times of the Roman Republic. In the countryside of Colletorto there are about 120.000 olive trees, even secular, which testify that the culture of oil and olives comes from ancient times. The most widespread olive varieties in the area are indigenous as the Black Olive of Colletorto, the Rumignana and the Cazzarella, from which we can obtain an oil production of the highest level in the world.

Delizie Santa Lucia

The extra-virgin olive oil Saint Lucia is the precious juice of olives harvested and milled in Colletorto, a village in Molise region. This small village lies on a hill whose higness is about 600 meters, totally covered by ancient olive trees. The oil is produced with methods still tied to an ancient tradition and it is pure extra-virgin. All begins from the olive harvest which takes place from late October to mid November and is still hand-made, according to the tradition. It continues with immediate transport of olives in the mill of our confidence, in order to mill within 12/16 hours. The milling is done with a continuous cycle machinery of the latest generation that guarantees maximum hygiene and cold pressing (max. 27/28°) For its authenticity, freshness, delicacy and fragrance, it can be defined, without any doubt, as a "gastronomic delight", a real "olive juice"...
Saint Lucia extra-virgin olive oil is also flavored with lemon, basil, pepper, garlic, rosemary and truffle.
